Warded Private to Self.
If I hear one more thing about the twins' debuts, I will burn a section on each of their dresses. I'm excessively tired of the constant twittering and the snide comments about how I am still unmarried. Nineteen is still a decent age, I stand by this fact. Perhaps when I reach my twenties and still have not received offers, then mother is fit to nag me about the horrors of spinsterhood (with pointed examples being made of Aunt Florentia and Aunt Auriga).

On the other hand, father seems content. As always. I have not noticed it before but he deals with mother's and the twins' flippancy so much more graciously than most men would. But then again, most men do not have half of his patience.

Apologies for not replying sooner, darling, but work was keeping me from social engagements all week! Anyway, I would love to attend your little gathering on Saturday. My sisters will be back home from school as well and I'm sure they would love to mingle. Julianne would certainly love to have a chat with Regulus, I believe. She couldn't stop inquiring about him in her last letter to me. As for Jacqueline, I'm sure we'll find a suitable match soon enough. You have a better eye than me in these matters, dear friend, you'll simply have to assist me.

End Wards.

I'm certainly glad that Professor Dumbledore has finally seen it fit to release the students from the confines of Hogwarts. I'm sure it's all very well to be so far away for studying and other matters but one grows homesick after a time. I simply cannot wait until my sisters are back home! Hopefully, mother will stop pestering me about finding someone suitable and concentrate on marrying off those two.

Warded Private to Barty Crouch, Jr.
Marcus Fforde, Hogwarts Relations Office. Arrives promptly at the Ministry at eight o'clock in the morning. Spends lunchtime with five other colleagues at half past one in the afternoon. He finishes work and arrives home in Saltford, outside of Bath, at six in the evening.

He has a wife. I'll leave the rest up to you.

Oh dear. Such a terrible thing to happen, absolutely atrocious. I personally condemn those who may have caused this upheaval in our community. The Ministry has been a little slow on its reaction but I'm sure they're doing everything they can given the circumstances. But chaos and explosions at a Quidditch match of all places! The sheer number of people must have been terribly daunting indeed.

I do hope that none of my acquaintances were harmed.

To whom should my congratulations go to? I must say you've done yourselves quite well in discrediting the Department of Magical Law Enforcement's abilities.

I, for one, am quite glad that my sisters do not have access to these journals. The barrage of vulgarities and other unbecoming behaviour does not ever cease. This is not acceptable. Especially with all the mollycoddling they received from mother, how on earth are they supposed to make sense of all these things at once?

Appalling.

Although, if they will be given one of these contraptions upon their graduation from Hogwarts, I might have to sit them down for a Talk. Uncomfortable as it might be, I will not have my sisters interact with those more versed in the ways of the world without understanding that most men individuals have other motives than what they might present. They will not be taken advantage of. Or I swear, I cut off your

Cousin, I've received some instructions from Mr Lestrange. His exact words are: "Take Jugson and prepare a list of known loudmouths. Then another list of accessible family members. If they do not understand yet, by Merlin I shall make them." Thus, I'd be much obliged if you'd kindly spare some of your time for this.

So far I'm familiar with McKinnon and her family especially after the business with her brother. Their schedules are very predictable so I believe they would be the easiest targets. There's that O'Hare woman as well but I haven't found much about her aside from the fact that she is insufferable and extremely uncouth. The Quibbler writer, Meadowes or something similar, should also be dealt with. Any additions or corrections are very much appreciated.
End Wards.

I'm incredibly glad that I'm currently at my parents' home instead of Diagon Alley. I don't think I shall stay there very long, the neighbourhood has clearly deteriorated.

The work's been done. As instructed, the damage was at least permanent. I managed to corner her brother when he exited the Ministry and abducted him to a safe and deserted location before commencing work. I do not see why I couldn't have just ended his life, his screaming was getting on my nerves. I left him in an alley a few blocks away from the Leaky Cauldron.
End Wards.

I do love how the weather's finally beginning to warm up. While I do enjoy the winter, and the fashions customary to that season, I rather prefer the warmth and relative freshness of spring. Even the wretched pub patrons of the Banshee's Scream have a spring in their steps!

I had such a wonderful birthday. I've told father about my decision to move away from Diagon Alley and he said that he can most definitely help me with this. I'm looking around Bath, as Narcissa suggested, and the prospects seem lovely thus far.

I've received several outstanding presents this year! I do adore that little brooch you sent me, Uncle Augustus. It's very useful flattering.

I think this brooch's main purpose isn't decorative, although it is quite lovely. I might do a bit of background reading on this.
